Seminars that help you choose between life and death and blessings and curses (ref. Deut. 30:19)
Marriages on Track
As we work with people, we hear many people say they want to bring love and joy back into their marriage. Instead of stability, your marriage might be leaving you emotionally and physically drained, lonely even. Maybe “life” has hit your marriage hard, and you despair of ever finding the love you first enjoyed when you were dating and engaged. If your marriage is struggling right now, there is hope! Through faith in Christ and dedication to change, your marriage can be strengthened. There are many ways you can begin to make a difference in your marriage right now to help get your marriage back on track when you apply these six elements taught in this seminar.
what marriages on track can do for you...
What Marriages on Track can do for you:
Our self-protective façade is controlling our thoughts and emotions in our marriage more than we realize. So many prayers we pray and the self-talk we engage in are just trying to encourage ourselves or someone else to build a better façade. We even judge the effectiveness of our prayers or self-talk based on whether our façade was strengthened or weakened. This is false relating. The Pharisees were warned to first clean the inside of the cup, and then the outside would be clean as well. Our internal thoughts and motives are what will be judged in the end. I want to get to the root issues in a marriage, and in order to do that we must become aware of what motivates our hearts to do what we do. Then we can choose to move toward our spouse in righteousness, humility, and love, instead of reinforcing our defensive stance. Song of Solomon 2:15 is the love book in the Bible. It compares the love between a man and wife as a vineyard in bloom. Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom. |

While earning his doctorate, Dr. Wheeler identified the top six factors needed to have a healthier, more resilient, strong family. You might be surprised to see what they are! Most studies emphasize weaknesses, but his study emphasized strengths. Once you understand these six elements, you can seek God for the strength and ability to put them into action. The Choice for Parents Workshop will give you the opportunity to stand at the crossroads and look for a new and better path for you and your family and help you open your heart to seeing your spouse (where applicable) and children in a new way. We will explore ways you can choose life and strength together. In a fun and Christ-centered environment discover these six characteristics and how to use them to help draw your family closer to God and one another. Bring your spouse and older kids and discover a new way together! Deuteronomy 30: 19-20a declares, “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, . . . .” Come learn, grow, and draw closer to the Lord, holding fast to him and listening to his voice as you choose life for yourself and your family. |
Coffee Conversations Seminar
Knowing Yourself, Exploring Others to Improve Every Conversation. This dynamic talk will present a guide for helping individuals, parents, leaders, and pastors, first, to understand how painful events in their past and responses to those events affect their ability to connect with, impact, and genuinely see people in the present. Second, after becoming aware of self-protection and how it stops us from loving others, to understand how powerful yet simple it can be to recognize when someone else is hurting, recognize someone’s self-protection, and realize he or she could use a phone call from someone asking, “Would you like to go to coffee so we can talk?”

As you work with people, two things become apparent: (1) people are hurting and need someone who can lend a listening, supportive ear; and (2) many people in the church are gifted with counseling and communication skills that are not being utilized. The Bible makes it clear we are to care for one another on an intimate level. This training will empower your people to overcome fears of one-on-one relationship building, over a cup of coffee. You will be amazed to see your people set free to do the work of God in your body. Coffee Cup Coaches training will empower them!
